Material and Methods: This review (systematic) study was performed during the first six months of 1400 with a review of clinical trial studies on the treatment of periodontal disease during pregnancy and its effects on pregnancy, fetal and neonatal outcomes based on the PRISMA-P guideline, PubMed, Cochran, EMBASE, SciELO, Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science and Persian language databases (SID and IranDock) were searched without any time limit to find relevant articles. Results: Fifteen clinical trial studies published in English were included in this study. The results showed that treatment of periodontal disease on preterm delivery (9 studies: one ineffective study and eight effective studies), pre-eclampsia (2 studies: one effective study and one ineffective study) and low birth weight (4 studies : Two effective studies and two ineffective studies) had contradictory results.
